1 Ton Trailer Camping M116a3 Overland Jeep Toyota Land Cruiser Welding Military in Kellogg, Idaho

$3,750

These photos were taken in Georgia before I pulled the trailer cross country to Kellogg, ID where I parked it for the winter. This is the trailer to base your overland trailer build on. Keep the deck, throw a roof rack on it and a pop-up tent. Slide your gear inside and go.This is also a great platform for your welding trailer accessing back country pipeline fabrication or repair.M116A3 Trailer outfitted as Joint Electronics AN/TSQ-217 S/A Trailer Chassis. This is a one ton trailer.I have several jerry can mounts, if not sold through I will include in the auction if you want them to power your generator/welder.It has 6 springs and an offset axle as opposed to the M116A1 or A2 which have straight axles and 5 springs. The trailer came out of the California desert from the Yermo Annex (USMC).  Since purchasing I have not pulled it in the winter (no salt exposure).  Frame is clean.  I crawled around under it while rewiring. The original military wiring has been removed.  The brake, turn, and reverse lights work.  The IR lights (military grade) lights are disabled.  I didn't think I was going to do much driving with night vision goggles on.  I have upgraded the bulbs to LED.  The trailer is wired for 12 volt, thought I believe the LED bulbs are good from 9 volt to 36 volt. The license plate frame is damaged,  the wiring to the license plate frame light exists and functions. This comes with a free and clear title, most military trailers only come with a bill of sale.Rewired to 12 volts, new wiring and new taillights retrofitted with LED’s. Has a 7 pin harness.Does have a pintle hitch or lunette ring Trailer has mechanical brakes, not air.If you are worried about storage the M116A3 chassis does have the ability to fold-up by removing two bolts. The run flats have been removed and PVC Insets installed on all four tires. These inserts retail for $94 each. Purchased through Trail Worthy Fabrication. Run flats removed take 50 lbs out of the tire.Tires are Goodyear MT’s 37" Tall 12.5" Wide, 16.5" wheels.Tires have minimal wear ~95% Tire tread life left. Sale comes with two additional Goodyear MT's mounted on split rims with PVC inserts. ~95% tire tread life left on spare tires too.Front Tongue Jack and rear support jack work. Parking Brakes work.Spare parts, neat storage containers, D-Shackles, etc. Rear brake lights still had the protective plastic on the lenses when I took the photos.I have the digital repair manual for this trailer I can email you, post sale.If you want to use this for camping or welding it has a neat feature, the standard tongue support fold out wheel and a rear fold down support providing four points of stability when deployed (the other two being the tires). My original goal with this trailer was to install pick-up bed gear racks, and place a roof top trailer on top with the side storage on the rack. The rack, tent, truck, storage containers, etc. in the last image are not included in the auction.Spare PartsCroft Trailer has the factory parts for the surge brake assembly. HydroAct is the Manufacturer of the surge brake assemble. Dexter is an aftermarket provider for the axles, if needed in the futureDexter and Redline have brake parts.Overlanding, tent, camping, welding, Coleman, Jayco, sleeping bag.
